24 November 2011 – A year has passed..

A whole year has passed since I last posted on the blog! This has been a very quiet 12 months from the French farmhouse perspective, with only around three and a half weeks spent at la maison.

Our summer vacation, originally planned at 4 weeks ended up being just under two as we returned early due to the bad weather at the end of July. We are told that these weeks were the only poor weeks from about April through to October!

This is not what we had expected but a large building project at our UK house combined with a consultancy contract took a lot of my time this year. I plan to rectify this in 2012.

The only work completed this year was a couple of days running new electrics so that the old fusebox (that was left dangling in the air by the work on the new doors last year) could be removed, with all the circuits now run back to the new unit installed a few years ago.

So more progress next year!
