The Garden heap,….

We have just over 2 acres with the house, a nice size (even if it takes a lot to manage). One of the ‘challenges’ we have are the garden rubbish heaps spread randomly around. The biggest being close to the house behind a leylandi hedge (it’s days are numbered!) –

Now when you have a couple of acres you would think that you could find a better place for garden rubbish! One of the firt things we did back in October was to buy a small trailer for the tractor (actually a ride on lawn mower but I like to pretend) so we could move garden rubbish around easily.

So in November Paul and I made a start on moving this heap down to the bottom of the ‘estate’ and made a good impact –

The roofers made a bonfire next to the heap in February and managed to burn some of it. That allowed us to clear the rest with the trailer in a few trips.
