Chateau de Hautefort
Despite low temperatures (c 20) and light rain we decided to visit the Chateau at Hautefort today, and it was well worth it. The chateau is privately owned and opened every day in July and August and only closed completely in December and January. Entrance fee was 8 euros for adults and 4 euros for kids.
Thge village lies below the chateau, there is an excellent restaurant with a red awning just visible towards the upper left of the picture!
Due to the rain we didn’t see much of the gardens but they obviously like their topiary and must employ several gardeners just to keep the hedges clipped.
